Topic: 21T Control Sends Gibberish to PC

Cobra 21T control reads programs from EasyDNC fine, but uploading a program using punch command back to the PC just sends gibberish, all kinds of strange characters. No alarms. Replaced the cable, but same thing. It used to work. Any ideas?

When you've sent the gibberish would you save it to a file and then email it to me please

Thanks for sending the file

Your CNC appears to be outputting in EIA format

In the CNC you'll see a parameter with the option EIA selected. Do you see the options ISO (or ASCII)

Switch that option to ISO (or ASCII)

Thank you, I set the 21T control parameter to ISO and everything worked perfectly. Not sure how a parameter like that got changed, but out in the shop, anything is possible.
