Will the dnc-X program convert the program being sent to the cnc to all caps? My fanuc lathes reject any lowercase characters.
Ideally I want to drag and drop a file from textedit in leopard onto the relevant machine icon without having to bother about whether I write in lower or upper case.

No, it won`t do that. Your cnc data needs to be in upper case.
You do raise an interesting point though. It`s very simple for the software to make sure everything is upper case. We`ll do that in an update in a couple of days.
I see you`re using Leopard - we`ll also add this feature to other OS versions.

Just a thought....
If possible for you or others....you can copy and paste all your text into a program like Microsoft Word and use a format feature to change the text to all caps or all lower case from whatever the format is.
I have accidentally hit the Caps Lock button many times, so I have used that feature to convert everything down to all lower case and add the caps where needed.
This would work for you just as well and we have done this to clean up our Fadal .NCF programs.
