| By: kaudette | Posted on: Apr 13 2005 at 08:06:37 PM | I am having trouble with data display when a program is sent from machine to pc. I cannot get rid of the 2 blank lines inserted after each block (line) of data. I have tried all the cr,crlf,lf,crlflf,and cr settings with no change . I have also tried the "force cr/lf " button with all of the different crlf settings and still get the 2 blank lines.
The machine is a Daewoo Puma 200s with a fanuc 18t control.
Below is the rs232 pin configuration I`m using.
PC (9 Pin socket) CNC (25 Pin plug)
1 Connect shield at this end only
3-------------------3 RXD
2 ------------------2 TXD
7 ------------------5 CTS
8 ------------------4 RTS
5 ------------------7 GND
6 Jumper pin 6 to pin 8 to pin 20.

Baud rate is 2400 ,7data bits , 2stop bits , parity even, machine set to iso.
Using xon,xoff handshake.
Any help is greatly appreciated,

| By: kaudette | Posted on: Apr 13 2005 at 08:12:56 PM | Nevermind...I figured it out... the ncr setting for parameter #100 on this control specifies lf,cr,cr or lf only (0 , 1). It was set to lf,cr,cr (0) resulting in the 2 magical carriage returns (blank lines).
I changed the setting to "lf only" (1) and now I get no phantom lines. | |
