Some fadals have the ability to accept keyboard input/commands directly from the computer.
For example when you send to the machine you need to physically walk to the machine and get it ready to receive data and then walk back to the computer. If your Fadal has the capability you can enter the commands directly into that small terminal box instead of walking to the fadal console.
You`ll need to check the documentation that came with your machine to see if your machine is capable of working like that.
