We have been running our machine with DNC for 2 months.
Without problems.
Now we keep getting PS 086 ALARM. Even with programs that have already been run.
Have changed everything. Cables, computers and adapters.
WHY ??

The fanuc 86 alarm is the cable.
Go to easydnc.com and scroll to the bottom of the page. It shows cable diagrams. Look at the cable short connections between pins 6, 8 and 20 at the CNC end of the cable.
If you buy a standard RS232 cable it will not have those links. If those short links do not exist you will get the 086 alarm or an alarm refferring to DR signal.
