        | Topic:   GE Fanuc 15-T Monarch Lathe
		 | | | By: guest | Posted on: Apr 21 2006 at 02:55:58 PM | | I have downloaded easyDNC and installed it on our laptop. I can currently download programs from the CNC, but I cannot put these programs back in the CNC memory. I have a Fanuc 15-T control on a Monarch lathe. Does anyone have any suggestions on settings to try or parameters to change? Could the cable be preventing upload? Under properties mode: Fanuc, Data Rate: 4800, FlowContro: Xon/Xoff, Data Bits:7, Stop bits:2, Parity: Even, Block End: CRLF, Block Delay: 5, Block Space: not checked, and forced CR/LF: checked. When I run the Port Scan, a Run-time error `1009` occurs. Further error information states, "Error Setting Port`s Characteristics ExtErr<36>" Any suggestion or input would be appreciated. | |

Is your com port a proper com port or is it a USB adapter ?

I was told the cable helped them to communicate to the control 5 years before I got here. After a frustrating moment, I took the cable apart and found it in poor condition. I had another cable, DB9F to DB25M, made to Fanuc`s specs, changed another parameter or two, and started uploading to the CNC this morning. By the way, easyDNC is an extremely "easy" product. I will be buying this product for our firearm company. | |
