Topic:   rs232c time out

By: tuantranPosted on: Sep 20 2007 at 07:53:47 PM
Hi,

We used easyDNC trial version for two days. When transmitting file from the PC to CNC Okuma LB15 with control OSP5000L-G, it had message like RS232 ready status time out "FFFFFF" `write`. We did switch any kind of states from easyDNC software but no luck at all. We thought it could be from the parameter settings. We need any suggestion or solution or input for that error. Thanks a lot

When you try to send to the CNC you should see on eayDnc`s window a progress bar that scrolls left to right across the bottom of the window.

Do you see that ?

On the other hand you may see a message box appear on easyDnc`s window saying something like "Waiting for CNC" - Do you see that ?

Hi All,

yes, when the data was tranferred from PC to CNC, it had shown the scroll bar from the left to the right of the percentage of the program that was transmitted (such as 15 % of program, it stopped a little bit, then moved on to 30% something like that) then after completed transmittion, cnc machine waited for roughly 30s then the message came up (rs232c ready status time out FFFFFF`write` error. All is appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Your program file that you`re sending to the Okuma, what does it look like ?

Usually I`d expect it to be something like this

$FILENAME.MIN%
...
...
...
...
...
M30
%

Also check that the `Mode` setting in easyDnc is set to OKUMA.

This doesn`t work for all OKUMAs, but my experience with the OSP5000 models is that it works as described above.

Hi,

I did axactly what you described but same error happened and even in the cnc I set the parameters to read the file name too. I hope you still have some the other ways to help. Appreciated.

Thanks a lot
