Will easydnc run on a small windows tablet attached to the machine?

Short answer. Yes.
Long answer - Assuming you mean a standard tablet with Intel or AMD processor then yes. It should work just fine.
If you mean one of those tiny ones with all day battery life based on Qualcomn snapdragon ARM processsor then the answer is 'maybe'. These devices can usually run standard windows desktop programs but you might stuggle to find a usb adapter which works on ARM.
But best thing is just to make sure it's a proper Intel or amd processor and you'll be fine.
If you want to permanently attach it to the machine then try find one with a dedicated power connector rather than powering into the usb port that you meed for connecting to the cnc.
