Topic: Works with USB adapter - not straight serial

We can get the software to work great with a USB serial adapter, but it errors out when we use the actual serial port. Drip feeding a Mazak VTC-16B.
Happened with 2 different computers.
We were thinking the adapter might have more delay and so we tried different delay settings, but before we try every single combination, any suggestions?

You can try disabling the windows FIFO
Control Panel - system - hardware - device manager - ports com&lpt
Select the com port - advanced. Disable the fifo.
If that doesn't help then try the largest delay and if that works then reduce it untill you find the point where the error occurs.

can't seem to do this on a USB-serial port. FIFO not an option

The first post said that it worked great with USB but failed when using an actual serial port.
So I was suggesting adjusting the fifo on the actual serial port - not on the USB.
