I have been sucessfully using easydnc on my old computer(windows XP)in conjunction with a Yasnac cnc lathe, the old computer has now died.
I have purchased a laptop with windows 7 to replace old computer.
I can successfully transfer data from the lathe to new computer but can not send data from computer to the lathe.
Approximately 10% of the program is sent and then it says waiting for cnc.
I have tried easydnc on a similar laptop with window 7 and it works sending data both ways.
Do you know what I can do to make it work on my laptop

So you have two similar laptops both using windows 7 and both using the same version of easyDnc. One of them works the other doesn't.
Confirm that both laptops have the same easyDnc settings. (Check specifically the flow control settings - also the Block Delay.
Are the cables identical ? Both laptops using USB/RS232 adapters ?
When it comes up with the 'Waiting for CNC' message does the CNC throw an alarm ?

In case anyone else is following this thread - Dean contacted us by email and explained the problem in more detail.
Two almost identical laptops - one worked fine but the other caused cnc buffer overflow when sending to the CNC.
Increasing the 'Block Delay' in easyDnc setup fixed the problem.
