Topic: error 086 P/S Alarm

code from machine to laptop, I'm using the function "scan port"

Do you have connections to pins 6, 8 and 20.
Take a look at
DNC Setup and Cable Diagrams
for proper cable diagram.
Look at the connections to pins 6, 8 and 20. Normal shop bought RS232 cables don't have those connections so your CNC will likely throw an alarm. Best thing is to make your own cable | |

I agree with support - error 086 is probably caused by missing connections 6,8,20 in the cnc end of the cable. The kind of cable you get from RS doesn't have those connections - make the cable yourself. | |
