CNC / DNC Settings for Delta Dynapath

The Delta Dynapath control is renowned for its durability and precision in machining environments. Establishing a stable serial DNC connection requires exact alignment of communication parameters. To prevent data transmission errors or frequent timeouts, ensure that the baud rate, parity, and data bits are configured identically in both the machine controller and your EasyDNC software. Furthermore, verify your physical cabling for correct flow control—whether utilizing software (XON/XOFF) or hardware (RTS/CTS) handshaking. Mismatched handshaking is the most common cause of communication failure; ensure your cable pinout matches the control's specific requirements to enable seamless, reliable data exchange between your PC and the CNC machine tool.

Parameter Value Comments
Baud Rate 2400 Not higher than 9600
Parity Even
Databits 7
Stop Bits 1
In EasyDNC set Baud Rate, Parity, DataBits and StopBits as above. Set 'Mode=Auto'

The cable configuration shown above is the most frequently used variant and supports software-based flow control (XON/XOFF, also known as DC1/DC3). If your CNC machine is configured for RTS/CTS (hardware) flow control, please refer to the alternative wiring diagram below, which is designed to support both methods of handshaking in most standard industrial applications.
